Royal & Sun Alliance

Royal & Sun Alliance ("R&SA") have been a client of Xayce every year since 1998. During this period, Xayce has become a preferred supplier to R&SA. Having successfully undertaking a significant number of projects which have supported the transformation of the company's back office operations.

More recent projects include:

Xayce supported a major programme of work to implement a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) compliance framework to enable R&SA to meet SOx regulatory requirements. In particular, Xayce supported the SOx Section 404 work for the UK operations. This involved identifying key financial processes and controls across the whole UK business, and then implementing and testing the new controls that were required.

Xayce led the implementation of a Data Mart solution and associated process changes to enable R&SA to meet FSA revenue reporting requirements. Our role included project management of the delivery of new technical solution and processes. Xayce led a 20+ person team comprising Xayce analysts, technical contractors and R&SA staff. Key outcomes from the work included the replacement of 22 MS Access models and over 3000 MS Excel workbooks, and reduced effort on data manipulation enabling more value added analytical review to take place. Xayce contribution on this critical project was formally recognised in a letter from the UK Chief Executive:
Xayce provided business analysis and project management support to a Business Process Reengineering programme across the RSA Finance function.

Other projects have included:

  • Xayce supported the implementation of new systems and processes for Finance, Credit Management, Human Resources and Payroll for R&SA's entire UK operation, and the development of a performance management framework.
  • Xayce led work to transfer Accounts Payable processing offshore to a third party based in India.
  • Xayce supported a key Finance Transformation initiative which involved the design and implementation of a new operating model, process model and management reporting systems utilising a new data warehouse. A key imperative of this work was to enable R&SA UK to comply with Group Reporting requirements for the delivery of Financial & Management results. A further imperative was to re-engineer these reporting processes to realise gains in efficiency and effectiveness. Xayce provided project management, change management and business analysis support to this major initiative.
